Have a great talent that you want to show off at the Winnebago County Fair? Whether it’s singing, dancing, juggling, acting out a scene, or playing an instrument you could win some extra cash! So sign up to be in this year’s County Idol Competition on Saturday July 12th at 4 p.m. There will be three age divisions: adults, teens (11-17 years old), and kids (10 and under). Grand prizes include $250 for adults, $100 for teens, and $50 for the kids’ division.
To enter, fill out the County Idol Registration Form by following the link below or by calling the Winnebago County Extension Office at 641.584.2261 for a copy of the form. Send it to Winnebago County Extension PO Box 47, Thompson IA 50478 by July 3rd. Event sponsored by Asmus Farm Supply.

Winnebago County Fair 2nd Limited Edition Basket now for sale! The Winnebago County Fair is proud to present the “Biscuit” basket at the 2008 limited edition collector’s basket. The baskets are custom made exclusively by the American Traditions Basket Company in Canal Fulton, Ohio. Each basket is hand woven with expert craftsmanship. The basket is a great collectible fundraiser that will last a lifetime and capture Fair memories year after year. There will be a limited number of baskets made. Winnebago Inflatable

This year we are very excited to introduce an inflatable purchased with the money we received from the Winnebago County Community Foundation grant. The inflatable is a 3-in-1 combo with jumping, climbing and a slide. This picture is a representation of the inflatable.
We are very excited about this new addition to the fair and know your kids will be too. Additionally, we will also be constructing some carnival games for the kids to enjoy!

The Winnebago County Fair has recently requested the help of Chris and Ida (Risius) Linden to design and develop the new look for the Winnebago County Fair. The new site will offer fair goers a place to get the latest schedules, results and news. We hope you enjoy the new look of the fair!
